Type of earthing switch

Grounding switches are divided into two types: grounding switches for maintenance (ES) and fault fast-closing grounding switches (FES) according to the requirements of their installation positions.

(1) Overhaul the grounding switch (ES) used for grounding or breaking switch equipment. When the equipment is overhauled, an obvious grounding point is formed on each side where the call may come. Mainly include bus earthing switch; earthing switch for outgoing line and incoming line (installed on the main transformer circuit breaker bus side and outgoing side, line circuit breaker bus side).

(2) The fault fast closing grounding switch (FES) has the ability to close short-circuit current and open and close induced current, which is operated by an electric spring mechanism. The fault grounding switch is suitable for the grounding switch on the outlet side of the line. The fault grounding switch is used as a protection device during maintenance, and has the ability to close short-circuit current and open and close induced current. Therefore, it is an important protection device. It is divided and closed by electric springs. The mechanism operation is generally installed on the line side of the line outgoing disconnector, and is electrically interlocked with the relevant disconnector and circuit breaker.
